Endura9™ Fibre Technology
Extra-long coir fibres from the world's finest coconuts. The only natural fibre strong enough for commercial-grade entrance mats (Class 31 and 32).
The Story Behind Our Coir Mats
Endura9™ is yarn made from extra-long, durable coir fibres sourced from Tamil Nadu, in the south of India. The fibres—up to 30 cm long—come from the husk of the largest and finest coconuts.
Before spinning, short fibres are removed from the raw material. The remaining fibres reach lengths of up to 30 cm, ensuring yarns of consistent quality suitable for intensive use.
These longer yarns anchor more securely into the mat backing and are less likely to loosen. Coir mats made with Endura9™ yarn last longer, stay beautiful longer, and are suitable for commercial use (Class 31 and 32).
Why We Chose Endura9™
Quality materials, sustainable sourcing, and proven performance.
Quality
The long staple length naturally produces strong yarn. Fibres spun from these strands are less likely to come loose because they anchor more securely into the mat backing. These are the only coir fibres strong enough to produce mats for commercial use (Class 31 and 32).
Sustainability
Coir is a pure natural product—plant-based and quickly renewable. A palm can be harvested up to six times a year. The yarns are dyed using environmentally responsible methods, with water purified and reused. Endura9™ coir mats consist of approximately 80% renewable and recycled materials.
Flexibility
Available in custom sizes without keeping stock. Mats are machine-cut from 200 cm wide rolls per order—even less common colours are available directly. This allows flexible response to your requirements without logistical pressure or long lead times.

Sourced from Tamil Nadu, India
In Tamil Nadu, in the south of India, our manufacturing partner has worked for many years with a number of plantations. This is where the largest coconuts grow—the source of the fibres used in Endura9™ mats.
Harvesters select the finest coconuts. Others sort the fibres, lay them out to dry, spin them into strong Endura9™ yarns, or dye the base material. These long-standing relationships with dedicated craftspeople are essential to the quality of our coir mats.
The backing uses recycled calcium carbonate (chalk) as filler. As a result, Endura9™ coir mats consist of approximately 80% renewable and recycled materials.
"These are the only coir fibres strong enough to produce mats suitable for commercial use (Class 31 and 32)."
